Our Beginnings
The idea of LILYSILK was conceived by Lily Lin in January of 2010, after having spent more than a decade working in France's silk industry. Lily's idea was to disrupt the prevailing business model where retailers realized huge profits, customers paying huge premiums, and the silk workers remaining in relative poverty. Lily's revived vision was to create an online outlet that would link Chinese Silk weavers directly to Western silk enthusiasts. Following a few months of discussion, this idea was set in motion – Lily convinced her husband, Mike, and some friends to join her venture, and became the company's first CEO. The rest, as they say, is history...
Our Fabrics
At LILYSILK, we always put our customers first and seek out skin-friendly and high-quality silk products on the market. To achieve that, we only use Grade 6A silk, which is known as the "Queen of Fibers" from China - the producer of the world's finest silk and Grade A Cashmere, known as the "Jewel of Fabric" from goats in Inner Mongolia.

Our Bedding Production Division is lead by a team of Master Silk Weavers, with a combined experience of over 40 years of experience in Silk Sheet production.
Our Sleepwear Production Division is supervised by our Master Tailors, with over 30 years of experience working with Silk. These Tailors complete all Silk product customizations by hand.
An extensive team of Quality Assurance (QA) experts inspect all our products at every step of the production process to ensure that our silk products are manufactured to the highest of standards.
And we are proud to say that most of our "bestselling products" are certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100.
Worker welfare
We are proud to say that we are making significant progress in achieving our goal to connect customers with silk workers directly. Our workers are having fair wages and benefits and reasonable working hours. In the meanwhile, our products are consistently 10%-20% less expensive than silk stores based in the US or Europe without sacrificing product quality - you can find testimonials of our product quality on third-party review sites such as Trustpilot.

Our Donation
We have schedules to donate for the less fortunate children in China's rural area, such as the program of ”Free Lunch for Children“ and “China Song Ching Ling Foundation- 'Loving Dictionary' Donation Project.” For every purchase made, LILYSILK will donate USD 1 into the fund pool. LILYSILK will donate the money to the professional charity organizations that dedicate to resolving youth welfare.
